I NEED A MAKEOVER – help me! :(

So I need some ideas. I am getting pretty sick to death of looking at myself in the mirror. I have looked pretty much exactly the same for the last few years and I’ve started to hate the way I look and my clothes and my makeup, but I don’t know what would look right on me. I’m having trouble even thinking about another way that I could look, because I’m so used to this horrendous style I’ve currently got. I spend all day, every day starring at photographs of you beautiful bloggers and I just feel like I'm not making use of what I've got to offer.

What I need is a new hairstyle and a new way of doing my makeup. Just something to make me feel happier in myself and … attractive for once. I feel like I’ve pretty much given up with the way I look and it’s starting to stress me out.

I'm not in any way fishing for compliments. What I need is for someone to say "look I think you'd suit this..." so I need ideas! And since you lot are all fashion and beauty experts – well I’m looking to you guys for advice!

Get me out of this funk! :( sob

Foundation On A Budget

I have a really bad habit of going to Lancaster to stop at my boyfriends and forgetting vital parts of my makeup. Last week was foundation. I wanted to go out but my face was a mess and I just felt like I couldn't face the world without something covering my skin so I ran to Superdrug and picked up this Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Ultimate Wear Foundation.

I got this little hidden gem for under £5 and I am actually astonished to say that it is better than any of the other foundations I am using at the moment. This foundation gives a very thick coverage, and seems to blur out any imperfections on my skin and for £5 it was an absolute life saver. The colour is perfect for my skin (which rarely ever happens as I'm paler than a dead person) and it just feels nice on my face. I personally love the Collection 2000 range of makeup, and the fact that they do great products for teeny prices makes them one of my favourite brands!

Lee Stafford's "Hair Treatment For Hair That Never Grows Past A Certain Length"

'For Hair that never Grows past a certain Length', Lee Stafford Hair Growth Treatment with Pro-Growth complex, contains a protein-based complex to fertilise your follicles to help hair grow faster and reach its maximum potential length.

My hair is naturally short. Without all the extensions and hair straighteners it's a short mess of wavy, dead, blonde hair. I've wanted my hair to grow for AGES now. After cutting it off last Christmas into a pixie bob and instantly regretting it I've tried everything for my hair to grow back. And resorted to having someone elses hair clipped onto my head.

I've tried moisturising masks, conditioning masks, every different sort of shampoo you could think of to get my hair back into a healthy enough state for it to grow past my shoulders but to no avail. Then I saw this product whilst I was passing through a few blogs and after extensive reading of reviews, finally popped to Boots and purchased it.

I have been using this product now for probably just over a month (I think). I've used it pretty much every time I have washed my hair and I have to say. I am in love.

I wasn't expecting to become Rapunzel over night, and that isn't what this product does. The product replenishes your roots and gives your hair the correct nutrients and stuff to grow. I've noticed that my hair is softer and smoother and ... brighter. It smells absolutely gorgeous and it has definitely given my hair a massive oomph! AND I do think it is starting to grow again. My roots have come through especially quick over the last few weeks (or at least, I've noticed it more). My hair just generally feels better and I am in love with this product.

I can't fault it at all, it doesn't even make my hair greasy!!

For those with lifeless, dead hair I would definitely recommend this. Especially if your a hair bleacher like myself, it just seems to have done something to my hair that no other product ever has and I cannot wait til my hair grows longer!

Have you tried this product, what do you think?

Motel Galaxy High Waist Matte Skinny Pants

Please excuse my awful face. Today I received these beauties from Motel Rocks - "Motel Galaxy High Waist Matte Skinny Pants" (God what a long name, couldn't they have made it a bit snappier?) and Jesus Christ I love them. They're sort of like Disco Pants but Matte instead of shiney! They're high waisted and definitely tuck my tummy in which is fantastic. And I think I am in love. And there are loads of different colours! The only downside I would say, is that the sizes come up a bit too small. I ordered an XS (which is a size 8) the first time and had to send them back for a size up - so if you've got a big butt like me, order a size up! Also if you're going to order from Motel Rocks PLEASE remember if you use the code "minichimp2001" you get a 20% discount! So get shopping! www.motelrocks.com

I went shopping! Mini haul galore!

So, today I thought I'd give myself some retail therapy. I just received my student loan this weekend and although it's not a lot, it's enough to get me through til Christmas - so I thought. It probably won't be now. I got started on my Christmas shopping and I've managed to get some lovely presents and I've already started wrapping! I'm getting in the Christmas spirit early this year!

I also grabbed myself a few bargains in Superdrug and Boots. Lee Stafford's "Treatment For Hair That Never Grows Past A Certain Length" was on 3 for £12 so I snapped those up from Boots. I've heard great things about the product, and since my hair is an absolute catastrophe from bleaching and dying, it can't hurt to try can it? I also got myself a few goodies from Superdrug and some of the Angelica nail varnishes from Primark! All in all, it's been a good day!

It's A Designer Disney Christmas!

Harrods in London, have recently unveiled their new Christmas window displays and they combine two of my favourite things - Disney and gorgeous dresses!!

The store did a gorgeous collab with ten designers (ValentinoMarchesa Elie Saab, Missoni, Oscar de la Renta, Escada, Versace, Roberto Cavalli and Ralph & Russo), Jenny Packham and Disney! And the displays are fabulous! I've been looking at images online for like an hour and I am freaking out about them - I wish I could see them in real life, but alas London is so far from me (sob sob) so I'll just have to sit behind my computer screen and lust after them instead!

As you can see, the designs are GORGEOUS!! Seriously gorgeous! If only you could actually buy those dresses!

What do you think? Have you seen them in real life?

Autumn Lips

I absolutely adore this time of year, the leafs changing colours and falling to the ground, frost in the air, big jumpers and cardigans. It may be cold but it's just lovely to see the world around us change so beautifully and to see everybody getting excited for Christmas - 50 days to go (and counting!!)

This is the time of year where light, colourful clothes and makeup are out, and dark, warm clothes and makeup are in! So I just thought I'd share with you some of my favourite Autumn Lips Picks!

What lipstick are you wearing this Autumn?

Fit Me Foundation Review

I made a quick post about this foundation here after I spent all of my trip to Manchester completely lusting. Anyway, I managed to find this bad boy for about £5 in Asda and I snapped it up straight away, complete bargain since I believe it's being sold at around £8 in Boots/Superdrug!

From The Maybelline Website::

PRODUCT DETAILS

WHY YOU'LL LOVE IT

The secret of Fit Me Foundation? Some waxes and fillers can mask your skin colour, Fit Me Foundation has none. Its transluscent gel based formula merges seamlessly with your skin.
Fit Me Foundation, Concealer and Powder are made to fit together by shade numbers, so finding your shade couldn't be easier. Looks natural, feels so light. SPF 18.

FOR BEST RESULTS

Perfect looking skin starts with a perfect base. Follow these 3 easy steps to flawless, natural looking coverage.
Step 1: Fit Me Foundation unifies the skin tone.
Step 2: Fit Me Concealer corrects the appearance of imperfections.
Step 3: Fit Me Powder matifies and sets for a natural, non-cakey looking finish.

My Opinion::

I really do like this foundation aside from the fact that the colour for me is a bit too dark - but that is my own fault and is easily fixed with correct powder! Next time I will go for a shade lighter! Apart from that, it's pretty much perfect. I usually have problems with foundation because of how dry my skin becomes, but this foundation rehydrates my skin and gives a full coverage without feeling too thick. It is much better than most of the foundations I have tried and definitely a massive step up from Dream Matte Mousse. I would say that if you have problems with dry skin, then this product will be perfect for you, especially if you get red skin blotches like I do. Really happy with this!

I Went To Watch The Heartbreaks!

Last night I went to watch The Heartbreaks in Manchester with my boyfriend! I had a really good night and the band was fantastic live (which was to be expected), it was just fantastic!

Awful trout pout whilst waiting for Kieron to come home from Uni
Whilst I was there I noticed some AWFUL fashion disasters, and honestly I couldn't really believe people where allowing themselves to go out in public like that. I think one of the main things about having this blog and following other fashion/beauty blogs is that I've suddenly started to realise what looks good and what looks awful. It's made me very judgemental! Ha. The one that got me the most was a very, very tall girl wearing Disco Pants. I'm talking like, over 6 foot tall. I only noticed because the bitch stood in front of me which stopped me from seeing anything on stage! I looked down and her pants did not fit at all. She was far too tall for them. They finished ABOVE her ankles. And I'm talking a lot before her ankles. I'm talking slightly under the knee. I couldn't get over it! Awful.
